My defining Sesame Street moment happened when I was about six, and some brilliant producer decided to include the 'Fish Heads' video as part of the show. They cut out the weird, art house movie intro, but left the sections with the singing severed heads. ( Read more... )

A scientist extracts yeast cultures from a weevil preserved in amber, and uses the yeast to make beer. And it's apparently pretty good, too.

Now, I hate beer, but I'd drink it just to be able to say that I had done.
